Question: Why is my water bill so high?
Answer: Your bill can be high for a number of reasons. The most common reasons are due to the number of people living in the house or a leak on the property. To check for a leak, turn off all the taps in your house, look at your meter and if it is still turning, chances are you have a leak somewhere. Many meters have a small red triangle on the meter face, designed to detect even small leaks. If this red triangle is moving when you have all water off inside and outside your home, you may have a leak. The most common leaks occur in the lavatory.
