Answer: Call the Water Department (617-625-6600 ext. 5800) to schedule a final reading. To process the final reading, the Water Department will read the meter, and process the final bill. Once the final bill is paid in full, the Water Department will change the billing address to the new owner’s name. Allow three business days for processing. Pick up the final bill at the Water Department (17 Franey Road), pay the processing fee of $25 and take the final bill to the Treasurers Office at City Hall, 93 Highland Avenue for payment.
