Question: How do I contact my student's teacher?

Answer: Every teacher in the Somerville Public Schools has a District email address which is their first initial and last name@somerville.mec.edu. For example, if your student's teacher is named Ismael Citizen, then Mr. Citizen's email address would be icitizen@somerville.mec.edu. Teachers do not always have time to check their email in the classroom. The fastest way to reach your student's teacher is by telephone. Call 617-625-6600 and ask for the Main Office of your student's school to either speak with or leave a phone message for your student's teacher.

If you wish to contact a District administrator, the email address formula is first initial last name@k12.somerville.ma.us. For example, if you wish to contact Heather Hummingbird, the Director of Bird Studies for the District, you would email hhummingbird@k12.somerville.ma.us.
