Question: How do I dispose of hazardous waste materials?

Answer: Hazardous waste materials must not be put out for collection. This includes: gasoline, explosives, compressed gases from household consumer products, explosive chemicals, wet-cell batteries and all other hazardous wastes as defined by the department of environmental protection. Household hazardous waste days occur on the 2nd Saturday of each month from April through November from 9:00 A.M. through Noon.
