Question: What does the Council on Aging do?
Answer: The COA provides services that enhance the lives of older adults, offering comprehensive programs that reflect the City’s growing and diverse older adult population (55+).
We provide a rich, diverse environment with a wide range of opportunities, programs and services through programming that covers health, wellness, education, culture, Men’s Group and support groups and entertainment along with Bingo and card games. It is a place to meet up with old friends and meet new ones.
We also supply general information, referral and case management services to eligible older adults and their families including issues surrounding housing, transportation, counseling, insurance benefits, health and nutrition.
